Patricia "Patty" Kempner (born August 24, 1942) is a retired medley and breaststroke swimmer from the United States, who won the gold medal with the USA's women's team in the 4x100m medley relay at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy.[1] On April 27, 1957 she became the first woman to set an official world record in the 200m individual medley, clocking 2:48.2 at a swimming meet in Chicago, Illinois.
